Oil Change Kit — 2.0L L4 Porsche C30 (0W-30)

Porsche’s 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder — found in the 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman, and related Macan applications — uses a specification that many generic oil change services get wrong: Porsche C30 / VW 504 00 / 507 00, SAE 0W-30. This is a low-SAPS, low-viscosity oil designed for an engine that runs at very high specific output. The 0W-30 is not a fuel-economy compromise — it is the factory-specified grade for this engine.

The Porsche C30 specification requires low sulphated ash content to protect the catalytic converter and particulate management systems in these high-strung engines. Running a conventional 5W-40 VW 502 00 oil — even a very good one — does not meet this requirement. The HTHS viscosity, SAPS content, and base oil chemistry are different.

Oil capacity

5.2 Liters / 5.5 Quarts (with filter). Porsche recommends checking the oil level via the instrument cluster or dipstick after the engine has reached operating temperature and been shut off for at least 2 minutes. Do not rely on a cold fill measurement alone.

This kit is for Porsche 2.0L applications requiring Porsche C30 / 0W-30. If your Porsche application requires Porsche C20 (0W-20 for 2021+ models), that is a different kit and a different oil.
